Content Warnings

Occasionally, my books explore themes that may be upsetting to some readers. I do my best to include thoughtful and specific content warnings to help you make informed choices about what you read. If you ever need clarification before picking up one of my books, please don’t hesitate to reach out—I’m always happy to help.

Because I strive to be as detailed and inclusive as possible, please note that the lists below may contain spoilers.

Triggers that will always receive a warning:

  • Suicide

  • Character death

  • Self-harm

  • Sexual assault

  • Abuse of any kind (toward adults, children, or animals)

  • Domestic violence

  • General violence

  • Mental health struggles that negatively affect the character

  • Racism

  • Homophobia and queerphobia

  • Ableism

  • Fertility struggles or miscarriage

  • Infidelity

  • Addictive behaviors

That said, I do not provide content warnings when characters of different races, sexual orientations, or physical abilities engage in experiences or relationships that would not require a warning if portrayed by straight, cisgender, or white characters. A character’s identity is not—and will never be—treated as a trigger.
